What the Soul Leaves Behind

I describe through sound and words what my soul dictates to me, perhaps because I am not always able to express it in any other way.

A life woven from memory, emotion and the traces we leave behind.

I have never been good with words. I have often felt as though I was speaking without ever truly being heard. Some emotions remained inside me, unable to find a voice, and over time they became silence.

Perhaps that is exactly why I began to write.

What the Soul Keeps

Writing allows me to tell the story of what my soul observes, feels and keeps: an image, a memory, an absence, a road I have travelled, a person I have met, or something I was never able to say.

Today, I try to do the same through music.

Sometimes a melody can express what a sentence cannot explain. A chord can hold a sense of longing. A sound can bring a distant moment back to life, while the silence between two notes can tell something that words could never contain.

I am not searching for perfection. I am searching for an honest form for what I feel.

When What Was Mine Reaches Someone Else

In this way, every song and every written thought becomes a small part of me that no longer exists only within me. Emotions come to life, emerge from silence and may eventually reach someone else.

Perhaps the person listening will never know the exact story from which a song was born. But they may recognise within it an absence of their own, a memory, or a feeling they believed they were alone in carrying.

In that moment, what once belonged to me no longer belongs only to me.

“I do not want to leave a monument behind. I would like to leave an emotion that can continue to breathe.”

Not a Monument

I would like to leave a trace behind. Not a monument, and not a name that must be remembered at any cost, but something true that can continue to breathe.

I do not create because I want to become famous.

I create so that the feelings that have passed through my life do not disappear completely with me. I want to give them a voice, a place and perhaps another life within the person who listens.

When I am no longer here, perhaps a melody, a sentence or a small emotion born from something I once lived will remain.

And that will be my way of allowing my soul to keep living.
